Most salon software makes its real money on the way through — a slice of every card you run, and sometimes a commission on clients who found you through their app. Here is what that looks like across the tools salons actually use, as published by each company on 2026-08-01.
Here is the honest catch, because you will find it out on day two anyway: the reason we take 0% is that your money never passes through us. We don't process card payments yet, which also means we can't hold deposits or auto-charge no-show fees inside the software. Your clients pay you exactly how they pay you now.
So if what you need most is card-on-file and automatic no-show charges, one of the tools above genuinely serves you better today, and we would rather tell you that than take your $19. If what you want is a booking page that looks like your salon and never taxes your revenue, that is the thing we built.
The reason most stylists stay on software they've outgrown is the thought of rebuilding everything by hand. So don't — send us where your work already lives and we'll do it.
Start your site, then reply to the welcome email with a link to your current booking page, your Instagram, or honestly just a few photos and your price list. We'll build out your services, hours, and gallery and send it back for you to approve. It's free, a real person does it, and it costs you one email.
The whole thing happens in one short wizard — most owners finish before their coffee cools.
Type it in the box above — that's genuinely the whole first step.

We're two founders who watched great stylists lose clients to salons with worse hands and better websites. The big platforms charge salon money for software that never feels like yours — so we're building the opposite: a site with your name on it, live in a minute, honest about what it does.
Salon Vine is young, and we're not pretending otherwise. That's exactly why the first 30 days are free and why we tell you up front what we haven't built yet: our founding salons shape what comes next, and they get us personally — every email lands in our own inboxes, and we answer them ourselves.
If yours isn't here, start a site and reply to the welcome email — we answer those personally.
Your first 30 days are free. We ask for a card at signup to hold your plan, and nothing is charged until day 31 — cancel before then and you are never charged a cent. After that it is $19, $39 or $59 a month depending on how many stylists you need, with no setup fee and no contract. Cancelling takes two clicks in your portal; you never have to call anyone or send an email to get out.
If you can fill out four short steps on your phone, you're qualified. Type your salon's name, tap a theme, add photos and services if you have them handy, done. There's nothing to install, host, or update — ever.
The moment you finish the wizard your site is on the web at salonvine.com/s/your-salon. Across the salons built so far, average setup time is under 2 minutes — most of that is picking your favorite photos.
Clients send a booking request through your site — their name, contact info, and what they want — and it lands in your email instantly. You reply to confirm the time, so you keep full control of your book. It's not a real-time calendar yet; a full booking calendar is on our roadmap for the Elite plan, and we won't advertise it until it ships.
Keep them — nothing conflicts. Your Salon Vine site works alongside anything: many salons use it as the clean "link in bio" page that shows off their work and catches booking requests, while their old tools keep doing their thing. If you decide to switch over completely, paste your current site's address into the signup and we'll help move things across.
No — zero, and that will not change. Some booking apps charge a commission on clients who find you through their marketplace: Booksy takes 30% of that client's first visit and Fresha takes 20%. We have no marketplace and we never touch your money, so there is nothing for us to take a percentage of. The flip side is that we don't process card payments yet, so we also can't hold deposits or auto-charge no-shows for you.
Your plan starts billing at the price you picked, on the card you entered at signup, and it renews monthly until you stop it. We are not going to surprise you with a different plan than the one you chose. If you cancel before day 31 you are never charged, and your site stays up through the end of the trial either way.
Worth knowing before you spend two minutes: there is no real-time booking calendar, no card payments or deposits, no SMS reminders, and no phone app — Salon Vine is a web app you can pin to your home screen. Clients send booking requests and you confirm them. We would rather you hear that from us now than feel misled in week two.
